I love words… a lot. I collect dictionaries. I have a penchant for Oxford commas and I vehemently defend the passive voice. I formalized my love for words at UC Berkeley studying theoretical linguistics and digging into why and how we communicate. In the meantime, a certain Naval officer swept me, with my armful of dictionaries, off my feet. After dabbling in journalism, I returned to my first love – words.
